Our Story

Red-Eye Mahjong started in July 2024 in the living room of my friends apartment with just five of us.

What started as a small get together quickly became a community.

And after a year of our weekly, Tuesday night mahjong sessions I decided to start hosting public events.

With the help of my friends and family, we hosted our very first public event at a bar named Lost & Found in St. Petersburg, Florida on May 13th 2025 and we have been hosting monthly events ever since.

There is something mystical about Mahjong.

Everything works in perfect harmony to connect people from across cultures and generations.

Our mission at Red-Eye Mahjong has always been clear:

Spread our love of mahjong to as many people as possible.
